With the launch of Eidos Glass, at the beginning of 2013, Lorin Silverman has introduced a meticulously designed and handcrafted product line of lighting and home décor. Standing for high-quality, one-of- a-kind production, Eidos (Greek for shape, form, image, concept) Glass is the beneficiary of long term concentration on Venetian technique, purposeful experimentation and successful collaboration. The company raises commercial forms to the level of artistry.
Lorin Silverman has developed an exceptional reputation as an independent glass artist and designer. Recognized for his technical ability and the planning and execution of large and complex hand blown objects, Lorin has been sought after to fabricate work for architects, designers and artists. For Lorin, working with glass has to begin with an understanding of the material, heat, and gravity and how they are all intricately interconnected when making a beautiful object.
All work is one-of-a-kind, hand blown glass produced in Brooklyn, NYC.
Obscura
LIGHTING COLLECTION
The Obscura Lighting Collection includes single pendants, a wall sconce and customizable multi-pendant cascading and grand cascading chandeliers. Inspired by the optical phenomenon camera obscura, each handmade glass sphere turns your view of the world upside down. A perfectly balanced placement of glass spheres lends significance to this classic pendant. When hung in clusters as a canopied chandelier the spheres create a multiplying effect and appear to float in an infinity of space. Obscura can be configured as a single pendant or a custom chandelier of 3, 5, 7, 9 or more Obscura pendants. Available in charcoal, ruby, steel blue, translucent white and whiskey.
Each hand blown, sculpted glass obscura pendant is signed by the designer and made in Brooklyn, NY. A perfectly balanced placement of glass spheres lends significance to the classic glass pendant design that make up these chandeliers. Each sphere, made with a ring tool, is kept heated until ready to be fused to the cylinder.

Table Lamp Collection
The Obscura Table Lamp is inspired by the optical phenomenon camera obscura, each handmade glass sphere turns your view of the world upside down. Can either stand on it's own or be a complimentary piece when matched with one of the many chandeliers in the Obscura Lighting Collection.

These include the AURUM Wall Sconce, and the AURUM Sphere Stack & Cylinder Chandeliers. These chandeliers are a contemporary take on totemic structures and assembled from handblown glass geometric forms. All AURUM lighting products, decorated with a band of 24 carat gold foil, are an exploration of the reflective interplay between gold, light and glass. Aurum products are available in black, charcoal, steel blue, opaque white, and translucent white.

A graceful, traditional handblown Venetian trumpet design on a grand scale, finished with a highly defined turned-up lip, combined with Mid-Century Modern inspiration. Make your night table jealous with the Trumpet Table Lamp, or turn heads with the Trumpet Floor Lamp, its commanding presence the focal point (of conversation) in any room. Lighting Collection
Three bell-shaped (cloches) pendants hung from a canopy at varying lengths — perfect above a table, in a romantic nook, a vestibule or entryway, or a powder room. Available in charcoal, steel blue, tourmaline green and translucent white. Each hand blown, sculpted glass cloches is signed by the designer and made in Brooklyn, NY. New for 2018: A Cloches insert wall sconce and Cloches insert pendants will debut at the 2018 Architectural Digest show (Limited colorway for Cloche insert wall sconce and pendant).
Hardware Finishes: stainless steel, oil-rubbed bronze, powder-coated black or white, and, raw, natural, or antique brass. Comes with either fully adjustable cloth drops or preset metal stems. Dimensions & color may vary slightly as is the case with custom handblown glass.

Aurum
Home Decor Collection
Elegantly designed hand blown glass vases with a band of 24 carat Japanese gold foil applied to the vessels while hot. The cylinder, half moon and teardrop vessels come in two sizes — large and small. Striking on their own, these hand blown vases also lend themselves to the art of flower arrangement. Experiment with the look of wind swept dendrobiums, draping sweet peas, freesia, delphiniums, or a single budding branch. Available in black, charcoal, opaque and translucent white and steel blue.
